Update 4/18/07: We've posted a teaser from the band's upcoming Sessions performance here.
We reported a couple of week ago that
Linkin
Parkfans should expect big ... and very different things from their new album, 'Minutes to Midnight.' Well, today we got to listen to the entire album and we have two words for ya -- OH SH*%! Not only is this record the most melodic and diverse stuff they've ever written, it also some of the best music they've ever recorded. It blew away all of our expectations and we've got no doubts that the band has another monster on their hands.
The band also told us that they want to do something radical with their AOL Music fans. They want to get YOU involved in this project -- so help us make your wildest Linkin
Parkfantasies come true and give us some great ideas on how you can get involved in this project. You've got to wait until May 15 to hear the whole thing, but check out this teaser for the album's first single, 'What I've Done,' for a little inspiration and send us your ideas!
2. i think linkin park should do something with the minutes to midnight theme by having a giant clock countdown somewhere big like times square or something and when it's almost time for the album release date, they should have the clock do some pyro tricks and have LP do a crazy performance outside on times square or anywhere that's big enough for the whole world to see.
4. Assuming the project is something to do with a performance of some kind, I and many more Im sure would love:
-A cool collaberation with someone like Amy Lee, Jon Davis or so on. (Im sure with the new album being very melodic there'd be room for Amy Lee to provide backing vocals or maybe Jon Davis switching verses back and forth with either Mike or Chester on a song)
(also it could be any artist, but me and many others would love one of the above)
- If not the first then maybe a performance of an old demo, something fans cant get their hands on online, like a live performance of 'Part of Me'
(If the project stretches further than an AOL performance, then this Projekt:Revolution line up will please fans and be the best ever in my opinion, 2007 likely to already be picked, this'd be good for 2008)
Linkin Park Evanescence Stone Sour Hip Hop Act (Wouldn't mind Jay-Z or Xzibit again) Orgy
*Also include Styles of Beyond on the second stage*
5. I'd like to advise LP to do some real hard core things, suck as QWERTY. Their "heavy" fans will love it greatly, I'm sure. Also I'm agree with guy who sad that it'll be great awaking some old themes (And One, especially Part Of Me). And I'd like to hear Easier To Run in live...
6. LP has been known to get the fans involved in their work. With Fort Minor, people sent in their version of "Where'd You Go", and their sport highlights for "Remember the Name". I think what would be radical is if LP would get fans to send in something called an anime music video. It is where you splice clips from anime series and sync them with a song to make a music video. LP could show people's work at their premiere, and even when they play live. It is cool to see the emotions of LP match with the emotions of anime.
10. I think it would be really cool,if Lp would play a few of their old songs a little diffrent, In the end or A place for my head acoustic. I think all the fans would enjoy it! But whatever the guys are going to do something relly big, like they always do:) Lp4ever! Can`t wait to haer the new songs!
11. i don't believe that the new album is so great... i think it will be just good, cause their first album hybrid theory will be always and forever the best of them, for me!!! it's just impossible to beat ht, even meteora... i expect a good album, for sure, but not better than the two first studio albuns...
12. I Think linkin park should have a huge stage new artwork from Minutes to midnight with amazing speakers and should perform 2 of their songs …reveal the album cover and show scenes from the video ….that should be amazing
14. I think for the album - MTM - Linkin Park should include some sort of timeline inside the case. Showing how Linkin Park has evolved and grown over the years. Whether it be by pictures or personal notes, it would be very interesting to read.
Also, maybe for one of their singles... when making the video they should obtain all of their past and present artwork and make it all come to life in a video. Tell a story with your own stories of artwork. A very dynamic idea I think.
15. I agree with Gloria, something really big, and unexpected that everyone would love...and make sure its like captured on video so we can all enjoy :) lol
